PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Florida International University's women's swimming and diving program competes as part of Conference USA, one of the major athletic conferences within NCAA Division I. Located in Miami, FIU serves a student body of 54,085 across its campus, providing both competitive opportunities and academic resources for its student-athletes. The program operates within the winter sports season, aligning with the national competitive schedule for collegiate swimming and diving competitions.

FIU's women's swimmers and divers train and compete at facilities supporting the university's athletic mission in South Florida. As a public institution established in 1965, the university has built its athletic programs alongside its academic expansion over the past several decades. The Panthers squad participates in Conference USA championship meets and dual competitions throughout the season, competing against programs across the regional and conference landscape.

The program recruits student-athletes from competitive swimming backgrounds, developing both individual performers and relay teams across freestyle, individual medley, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly events, alongside diving competitors on springboard and platform disciplines.
