SEATTLE UNIVERSITY
ABOUT SEATTLE
Seattle University's 13 varsity programs compete within the West Coast Conference, representing 7,189 students across the institution's Seattle campus since its founding in 1891. The Redhawks field balanced rosters across men's and women's sports, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, golf, cross country, swimming and diving, baseball, and softball. Located in the Pacific Northwest's largest metropolitan area, Seattle University athletics draws from a regional recruiting base while competing at the NCAA Division I level against conference peers like Gonzaga, Santa Clara, and Loyola Marymount.
The athletic department sponsors six women's sports teams alongside seven men's programs, maintaining competitive representation across Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines. Seattle University's commitment to athletic excellence integrates with its Jesuit educational mission, emphasizing both on-field performance and student-athlete development. The Redhawks program continues to develop talent within the competitive West Coast Conference landscape, where programs routinely advance to NCAA postseason tournaments and compete for conference championships in marquee sports like basketball and volleyball.
