ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA STATE

Orangeburg's South Carolina State University fields 16 varsity sports across 8 men's and 8 women's programs as a Division I-FCS institution competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Founded in 1896, the university's athletics department serves a student body of 2,649, making SC State one of the nation's historically Black universities with deep roots in regional competition.
