MAINE BLACK BEARS MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

University of Maine's cross country program competes as part of the America East Conference, one of the primary athletic conferences for Division I-FCS schools across the Northeast. Located in Orono, Maine, the University of Maine was established in 1865 and currently enrolls 10,878 students, providing the athletic department with a substantial student body from which to build its roster. The Black Bears compete during the fall season, a traditional window for cross country competition that allows athletes to build aerobic fitness before transitioning to track and field in the spring.
