PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Located in Omaha, Nebraska's largest metropolitan area, the University of Nebraska at Omaha fields its women's cross country program within the Summit League, competing at the NCAA Division I level during the fall season. Founded in 1908, UNO serves 15,058 students across its campus and has developed competitive athletic programs that represent the institution regionally and nationally.

The Mavericks women's cross country team competes throughout the Summit League schedule, testing their conditioning and racing strategy against conference opponents across multiple fall events. Athletes train on courses throughout the Omaha area while preparing for the demanding 6-kilometer distances that define women's collegiate cross country competition.

Program participation offers student-athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest collegiate level while balancing academic responsibilities at a mid-sized research university. The team's coaching staff guides training and race preparation, developing runners who represent UNO in one of college sports' most physically demanding endurance events throughout the competitive season.
