SOUTH CAROLINA UPSTATE SPARTANS SOFTBALL

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the University of South Carolina Upstate Spartans compete in NCAA Division I softball as members of the Big South Conference during the spring season. Founded in 1967, the institution serves approximately 4,913 students and fields its softball program from its home venue on campus. As a relatively young Division I program, USC Upstate competes annually within one of the NCAA's mid-major conferences, which includes schools from across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions.

The Spartans softball team represents one of the university's central athletic initiatives within the Big South Conference, a league that has produced competitive mid-level college athletics across multiple sports.
