SOUTHERN METHODIST MUSTANGS MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Southern Methodist University's men's swimming and diving program competes within the Atlantic Coast Conference at its Dallas, Texas campus, which was established in 1911 and currently enrolls 12,544 students. As a Division I-FBS institution, SMU brings competitive swimming to the ACC during the winter season, competing against some of the nation's premier collegiate swimming programs. The Mustangs represent one of the few elite swimming programs in Texas and compete for conference recognition alongside traditional powerhouses in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

SMU's swimming and diving team participates in a comprehensive roster across multiple disciplines, from sprints and distance events to diving competition. The program balances individual performances across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly events while fielding competitive divers on both springboards. Located in Dallas, the Mustangs train and compete in a metropolitan area with significant recruiting potential and support resources that enable the program to attract student-athletes from across the region and nation.
