PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Located in Cedar City at an elevation of 5,600 feet, Southern Utah University fields its women's cross country program as part of the Western Athletic Conference, competing in the fall season across NCAA Division I-FCS. The university, established in 1897, enrolls 15,444 students and has developed its athletic programs over more than a century of operation. The Thunderbirds' program benefits from Southern Utah's high-altitude training environment, which naturally conditions distance runners for competitive collegiate racing.
