TEXAS SOUTHERN TIGERS BASEBALL

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Texas Southern University, founded in 1927 and now serving 7,366 students in Houston, competes in NCAA Division I baseball through the Southwestern Athletic Conference during the spring season. Playing in a major metropolitan area that has produced numerous professional baseball talents, the Tigers program operates within Texas's richest athletic landscape while maintaining its historically Black university identity. The program's student-athlete roster represents a significant investment in developing talent at the collegiate level within one of the nation's most competitive baseball regions.

Competing at the FCS level within SWAC, Texas Southern baseball operates on the same national stage as other conference members while building toward sustained competitiveness in conference play. The Tigers utilize their home venue in Houston to develop players and compete throughout the spring schedule. With a coaching staff leading recruiting and player development efforts, the program continues to develop ballplayers who advance to professional opportunities and contribute to the university's athletic mission.
