TEXAS SOUTHERN TIGERS WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Located in Houston's Third Ward since 1927, Texas Southern University fields a women's swimming and diving program competing at the Division I level within the Southwestern Athletic Conference during the winter season. The Tigers draw from a student body of 7,366 undergraduates who support the program's dual focus on both pool events and diving competition. Swimming and diving at Texas Southern represents an important complement to the university's broader athletic mission across multiple sports.

The women's program trains and competes during the traditional winter swimming season, aligning with NCAA scheduling that peaks around conference championships and postseason qualifying standards. Like other SWAC programs, Texas Southern's swimmers and divers work toward both individual and relay achievements across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley, and platform diving events.
