MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE DELTA DEVILS WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Mississippi Valley State University's women's swimming and diving program represents one of the few competitive aquatic options in the Mississippi Delta region, operating from its Itta Bena campus since the institution's establishment in 1950. The Delta Devils compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, a league that spans multiple states across the South and Southwest. With an enrollment of 2,196 students, MVSU fields a roster of swimmers and divers who balance academics with winter-season competition that typically runs from September through March. The program draws from a historically Black university community that has maintained NCAA Division I-FCS status while developing athletic talent across multiple sports.

Competing throughout the SWAC schedule, the Delta Devils face opponents across a geographically diverse conference that includes schools from Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The women's team participates in individual events ranging from freestyle sprints to distance races, plus diving competitions that test technical skill and courage.
