GRAMBLING STATE TIGERS WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Grambling State's women's swimming and diving program competes as part of a 5,232-student university established in 1901 in rural northern Louisiana. Operating within the Southwestern Athletic Conference at the Division I level, the Tigers represent one of the few swimming programs at historically Black colleges and universities with NCAA Division I sponsorship. The program trains and competes during the winter season, providing student-athletes with opportunities to develop their aquatic skills while balancing the demands of rigorous academic coursework at an institution with deep roots in African American higher education.

As a SWAC competitor, Grambling State's swimmers and divers face conference opponents across a region spanning multiple states from Texas to Alabama. The program's student-athletes gain valuable experience competing in collegiate athletics while maintaining their status as representatives of a university that has educated generations of leaders since its founding in 1901. Winter season training cycles and dual meet competition provide the competitive framework through which the Tigers develop their roster and work toward conference championship participation.
