Located in Charleston, South Carolina, The Citadel fields 16 varsity sports across Division I-FCS competition within the Southern Conference, serving a cadet body of 3,721 students at the military college founded in 1842. The institution's athletic programs operate under the unique constraints and structure of a military academy, where student-athletes balance rigorous academic coursework with their athletic commitments and military duties.
