PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Citadel softball competes as a Division I program within the Southern Conference, fielding its team each spring from Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in 1842, the institution enrolls approximately 3,721 students and has developed its athletic programs with the distinctive culture of a military academy. The Bulldogs represent one of the few collegiate softball programs operating within a service academy framework, bringing that unique disciplinary and organizational approach to their spring sport competition.
