MASSACHUSETTS MINUTEMEN WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

UMass women's swimming and diving competes within the Mid-American Conference as part of the University of Massachusetts athletic program, which has served its Amherst campus of 31,318 students since the institution's founding in 1863. The program represents one of the athletic offerings at a flagship research university located in central Massachusetts, competing at the Division I level during the winter season. Swimmers and divers from the Minutemen roster train year-round to develop competitive excellence across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and diving disciplines within MAC conference competition.

The Minutemen program fields athletes across multiple stroke specialties and diving events, with team members competing in dual meets and conference championships throughout the season. UMass women's swimming and diving maintains its competitive schedule while balancing the academic mission of a major research institution with substantial undergraduate and graduate enrollment. The program continues competing within the MAC structure, which includes programs from institutions across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, providing conference opponents throughout the winter months.
