ABOUT NORTH TEXAS

Located in Denton, approximately 35 miles north of Dallas, the University of North Texas operates 17 varsity sports across the American Athletic Conference as a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institution. Established in 1890, the university serves 46,940 students and maintains one of the larger athletic footprints in Conference USA's successor league. The Mean Green compete in flagship sports including football and men's basketball while supporting robust Olympic sport programs in cross country, golf, tennis, swimming & diving, and lacrosse across both genders.
