Located in Denton, Texas, North Texas swimming operates within a university system of 46,940 students that was established in 1890, making it one of the state's oldest institutions. The Mean Green compete in the American Athletic Conference during the winter season, positioning themselves among programs in one of the nation's most competitive mid-major conferences.
