HAMPTON PIRATES WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Hampton University's women's cross country program competes as part of a 4,243-student body at the historically Black institution established in 1861 in Hampton, Virginia. Running for the Pirates, the team represents one of the athletic offerings at a school with deep roots in American higher education and civil rights history. The program operates within the Coastal Athletic Association at the FCS level, competing against regional rivals throughout the fall season.

Coastal Athletic Association membership places Hampton's harriers in competition with programs across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions during the September through November schedule. The Pirates train and compete representing their home venue while building their roster year to year under coaching staff direction. Cross country at Hampton provides student-athletes the opportunity to balance rigorous academic expectations at the university with elite-level distance running competition.
