HAMPTON PIRATES WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Hampton University's women's swimming and diving program competes within the Coastal Athletic Association, representing the historically Black university located in Hampton, Virginia, which was established in 1861. The Pirates draw from a student body of 4,243 undergraduates competing in the Division I-FCS classification. Operating from their home venue, the program participates in winter season competition alongside other regional and conference opponents in the CAA.

As a member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Hampton's women's swimmers and divers participate in dual meets and conference championships throughout the academic year. The program develops student-athletes across multiple disciplines including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley, and diving events. Hampton's athletic department supports the team through facilities and coaching infrastructure designed to compete at the NCAA Division I level while balancing the academic mission of the university.
