LIBERTY FLAMES MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Liberty University's men's swimming and diving program represents one of the larger athletic initiatives at the Lynchburg institution, which was established in 1971 and now enrolls 96,709 students across all campuses. Competing in Conference USA as part of the university's D1-FBS athletic department, the Flames program operates during the winter season and hosts meets at the Liberty facility. The program maintains a competitive roster structure typical of mid-major Division I swimming operations, fielding student-athletes across sprint freestyle, distance, individual medley, breaststroke, backstroke, and diving disciplines.

As a Conference USA member, Liberty competes among programs throughout the region during dual meets and championship competitions held throughout the winter calendar. The swimming and diving program integrates into Liberty's broader athletics mission while managing the operational demands of maintaining NCAA Division I standards for training, recruiting, and facility management. Student-athletes balance collegiate-level training schedules with the academic environment of a university with nearly 97,000 enrolled students.
