ABOUT LIPSCOMB
Founded in 1891, Lipscomb University operates 13 varsity sports from its Nashville, Tennessee campus, which serves 4,704 students. The Bisons compete in the ASUN Conference at the NCAA Division I level, combining academic rigor with athletic competition in a city known for its strong sports culture. Lipscomb's athletic department balances both men's and women's programs across traditional collegiate sports, with particular emphasis on basketball, soccer, and tennis that draw regular fan support in middle Tennessee.
Men's basketball represents one of Lipscomb's flagship programs, competing annually against ASUN Conference rivals with aspirations toward postseason play. The women's sports programs have similarly grown competitive within the conference structure, featuring volleyball, basketball, and soccer squads that recruit regionally. Baseball and softball round out the Olympic sports offerings, while cross country and golf teams compete across the fall and spring seasons, leveraging the accessibility of Nashville-area courses and training facilities.
