STETSON HATTERS FOOTBALL

Atlantic Sun ConferenceD1-FCSfall

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Stetson University fields its 99-player football roster in DeLand, Florida, where the institution was established in 1883 and now serves 3,670 students. Coach Mike Jasper directs the Hatters program, which competes in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) within the ASUN Conference during the fall season. As a Division I-FCS program, Stetson operates at the highest level of non-scholarship collegiate football, competing against similarly-sized regional and national opponents in pursuit of conference championships and postseason playoff opportunities.

The program balances the demands of FCS competition while maintaining the academic mission of a university with modest total enrollment. Playing in the ASUN Conference places Stetson among peer institutions throughout the Southeast and beyond, with conference games determining postseason eligibility and tournament seeding. With 99 athletes on roster, the Hatters maintain sufficient depth to sustain a full season of competition across all offensive and defensive positions while competing at the FCS level.
