MARIST RED FOXES WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Nestled along the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, Marist University has built its women's swimming and diving program within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference since joining Division I competition. The Red Foxes compete at a university established in 1929 with a current enrollment of 6,356 students, representing one of the smaller D1-FCS institutions in the Northeast. Marist's aquatics facilities support both competitive racing and the development of student-athletes across multiple events in the winter season.

Competing in one of the most geographically concentrated conferences in the nation, Marist's women's swimmers and divers face consistent regional competition from MAAC opponents throughout the season. The program recruits and develops talent across freestyle, individual medley, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and diving disciplines. As a Division I-FCS program, Marist student-athletes balance rigorous academic demands—the university's location provides proximity to research institutions and professional opportunities in the Hudson Valley corridor—with elite-level training schedules and competitive meet participation.
