PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Niagara University's women's swimming and diving program competes as part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, drawing athletes from a student body of 4,033 at the institution founded in 1856. The Purple Eagles represent one of the oldest Catholic universities in the Northeast, with their athletic programs embedded in the university's identity along the Niagara River in western New York. The women's swimming and diving team operates during the winter season, competing against regional and conference opponents within MAAC's competitive framework.

Based in a program with deep roots in the Niagara community, the women's swimmers and divers train year-round to compete in both individual events and relay competitions across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley disciplines, alongside the specialized diving component.
