STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE LUMBERJACKS WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Nacogdoches, Texas has been home to Stephen F. Austin State University since its founding in 1917, and the Lumberjacks women's swimming and diving program competes within this 10,472-student institution as part of the Southland Conference. The team represents one of the few Division I-FCS athletic programs in East Texas, competing during the winter season against regional and conference rivals who span across Louisiana, Arkansas, and beyond.

SFA's women's swimmers and divers train year-round to develop competitive depth across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley distances, while specialized divers train on both springboard and platform events. The program operates as part of a broader athletic department that fields multiple Division I sports, with recruitment and development focused on student-athletes who can balance demanding training schedules with academic responsibilities at a university that enrolls roughly 10,500 undergraduates and graduate students combined.

The Lumberjacks program participates in Southland Conference championship meets where teams compete for conference titles and NCAA Regional qualification standards, making winter break training blocks and championship season preparation critical components of the annual calendar for Stephen F. Austin's coaching staff and roster.
