ABOUT MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE

Nestled in Princess Anne on Maryland's Eastern Shore, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks represent a historically Black institution founded in 1886 that has grown into a competitive Division I athletics program. Operating across 13 varsity sports within the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, UMES fields teams in both traditional Olympic sports and conference-sponsored competitions that draw student-athletes from throughout the region.
