PROGRAM OVERVIEW

University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, formed through the 2013 merger of UT-Pan American and UT-Brownsville, fields a men's golf program competing in the Southland Conference at the NCAA Division I level. The Vaqueros represent a campus of 35,812 students in Edinburg, Texas, competing during the spring golf season alongside fellow conference members in a region with strong collegiate golf traditions. UTRGV's program operates within the Southland Conference, which includes eight other Division I-FCS institutions across South Texas and Louisiana.

The Vaqueros compete as part of the university's athletic department, which supports numerous varsity sports at the Division I level.
